Room for Improvement

After editing today I realised that the shots in our video were too stationary to make an interesting video. The camera was too still which I admit was fault on my part as I was the one filming. I also realised that we didn't have enough shots of our guy character in order to fulfil concept idea, and to make it obvious to the artist what were we trying to do. We decided to take his part out completely. This way the music video is clearer and we can focus on improving the artist's performance rather than filming more shots. Tomorrow we are filming in Friday lesson in order to re film the time lapse and film some of the shots in our Lambeth Bridge, South bank and Upper Marsh locations.

Upper Marsh

Lambeth Bridge

South bank(near the London Eye)

Hopefully I will learn from this editing session, in order to make the shots we film tomorrow have more movement and drama. My group our filming the time lapse as we saw that our artist didn't have enough emotion in her facial expression, which was most likely because of the stressfulness of the day. When re filming this we need to make sure she is comfortable enough to put more energy into the performance and so will make our shots look better. We are also filming more shots in the aforementioned locations in order to add more variety to the locations of our music. This hopefully should lead to an overall more interesting music video.
